Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Recipe

These 20-minute healthy air fryer buffalo chicken breasts are juicy and crisp; use store-bought or homemade buffalo sauce with three ingredients. A simple, high-protein midweek dinner and prep!  

– 3 medium chicken breasts, skinless and bonele – ⅓ cup + 3 tbsp buffalo sauce*, e.g., Primal Kitchen, plus more for serving – ½ tsp salt – ½ tsp black pepper – Avocado or olive oil cooking spray Homemade Buffalo Sauce: – ½ cup Frank’s Red Hot Sauce – 1 Tbsp melted butter or ghee – ½ tsp paprika


Set your air fryer to 360°F and use avocado spray or olive oil to lightly coat the basket. After using a paper towel to pat dry, transfer the chicken breasts to a shallow basin.

After adding salt and pepper to the chicken, cover it with ⅓ cup of buffalo sauce. To make sure the chicken breasts are fully coated, flip them over using kitchen tongs.

Give the marinade five to ten minutes.When the air fryer is hot, place the chicken breasts in the basket, smooth side down, and spread them out evenly.

After 10 minutes of air-frying, flip with tongs and cook for 3–5 minutes.Apply at least three tablespoons of leftover buffalo sauce to the air-fried chicken breasts.

Remove the chicken from the air fryer and heat for two to three minutes until 165°F.Rest the chicken breasts for five minutes before slicing and serving. Have fun!
